Unique hand turned decorative bowl. I’ve left the interior and base the natural timber colour which gives the piece warmth. To make the piece stand out and draw attention I’ve carved and coloured the exterior with silver blue tones accented by red. It reminded me of pomegranate seeds. I’ve given the piece a lacquer finish to protect the colouring and a coat of hard wax to give the piece a more natural look than the gloss of lacquer. It stands 65mm high x 140mm in diameter (at its widest point).
